A 40-year-old man faces rape charges after sexually assaulting a woman and holding her against her will at an apartment in Westchester, police announced.
The arrest stemmed from an incident on Saturday, March 10 at around 9:50 a.m., when a woman told the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department that she was being held at an unknown location within the village, the department said on Monday, March 11.

A former Connecticut resident and serial burglar faces more charges after breaking into another deli in Westchester, police announced.
Port Chester resident Cesar Salazar-Duque, age 36, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 7 in connection with a burglary that occurred at Sage Deli in Mamaroneck at 392 Palmer Ave., the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department announced.
According to the department, Salazar-Duque, who once lived in the Fairfield County town of Greenwich, allegedly broke the deli's front door window on Friday, Nov. 17.

A Westchester man was arrested for operating a vessel while intoxicated after the boat he was operating ran aground on rocks, injuring one person.
Kurt Getz, age 33, of Rye, was arrested on Wednesday, June 16, by the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department after they responded to a vessel in distress after receiving a report from the Larchmont Police of receiving multiple reports, said Mamaroneck PD Lt. Mark Gatta.

Man, 23, In Stolen Vehicle Caught After 12-Mile I-684 Chase, Police Say
A 23-year-old man driving a stolen vehicle is behind bars after taking state troopers on a 12-mile chase on I-684.
It started at around 1:50 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5.
At approximately 1:50 a.m., troopers patrolling I-684 in the town of Bedford initiated a traffic stop on a northbound taxi for an infraction of the vehicle and traffic law.
The operator of the 2019 Toyota Camry, identified as Begnauth Renseroop, of Queens, failed to comply, and led troopers on the chase, state police said.
