Haledon Detective Nabs PA Fugitive After Taxicab Stop
A taxicab passenger who was under the influence of PCP and not wearing a seatbelt turned out to be an ex-con fugitive from Pennsylvania, Haledon police said.
Detective Jeffrey Welsh stopped the cab after the driver failed to signal a turn off West Broadway, Deputy Police Chief George Guzman, Jr. said.
Angel Collado, 42, of Passaic, who was sitting in back, drew the detective's attention, the deputy chief said.
A quick computer check found warrants not only out of Bucks County, PA, but also Clifton and Totowa, Guzman said.

An Annapolis man on federal release experienced a day living up to his nickname after he was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, authorities say.
Khayr "Shitty" Basimibnbrown, 42, also known as “Keith Brown", received his sentence after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl, heroin, PCP, and cocaine, according to the Department of Justice.
Officers observed Basimibnbrown participating in drug transactions on several occasions, including the sale of over 600 grams of a heroin/fentanyl mixture.

Fair Lawn PD: Hudson County Trio Found With Heroin, PCP, Cocaine In Route 4 Traffic Stop
A Hudson County trio was found with heroin, PCP and cocaine during a routine traffic stop on Route 4 in Fair Lawn, local police said.
Farrah Sanchez, 43, of Union City, was stopped by at Paramus Road last Friday just before 9:40 p.m., Fair Lawn Sgt. Brian Metzler said.
Sanchez and her two passengers -- Jason Flores, 34, of Guttenberg, and Dennis Oyold, 40, of Union City -- were taken to police headquarters for processing after officers found heroin and PCP in the car, Metzler said.
While they were being processed, police found crack cocaine on the floor of the car, Metzler said.

A man who had a bad reaction to PCP was arrested after biting a police officer while resisting going to a hospital to receive help.
The incident took place around 10:38 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, in Orange County when City of Newburgh officers were dispatched to the area of 165 Chambers St. for a naked male running down the street, Lieutenant Brandon Rola said.

Jessica Mott, age 34, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Westport Police on Saturday, Jan. 23, for an event that took place on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, said Lt. David Wolf.

A Connecticut man has been sentenced to 70 months in prison for distributing narcotics.
Hartford County resident McClendon Jones, age 40, of Bloomfield, was sentenced on Friday, Jan. 8, by U.S. District Judge Kari A. Dooley to the prison time, followed by four years of supervised release, said U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut John H. Durham.

A man high on PCP was arrested after pushing and punching police officers trying to arrest him on Thanksgiving Day, authorities said Wednesday.
Officers responded to 291 North Broad St. on Nov. 26 around 1:25 p.m., on reports of a suspicious person threatening to hurt people and high on PCP, Landsale police said in a news release.
The man, later identified as Elijah Derns, 24, began cursing and pushing officers, saying he refused to be arrested, police said.

A fight between two men, including one from the Hudson Valley, landed one in the hospital and the other in handcuffs in Fairfield County.
The incident took place around 12:10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, when Wilton Police responded to a home on Westport Road for a suspicious person complaint, said Wilton Police Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson.

A Stamford woman who pulled a fire alarm ended up in handcuff after police found she was allegedly in possession of PCP.
Adja Zeynabou Fall, 23, was busted around 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, after police responded to a condominium building on Glenbrook Road for a report of an unruly woman, reported the Stamford Advocate.
According to police, Fall allegedly pulled the fire alarm and was beating on doors of the first floor of the complex when they arrived, the newspaper said.
