Man Killed After Allegedly Hit By Dumpster-Bearing Delivery Truck In Franklin: Police
One man is dead after they were allegedly hit by a delivery truck carrying a dumpster in at a warehouse in Franklin, authorities said.
Police and fire responded to a report of a person down and not breathing at XPO Logistics, located at 176 Grove Street, around 6:32 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, Franklin Police said on Twitter.

The man, later identified as 31-year-old Cloutier Perez, of Providence, was taken to Milford Hospital where he later died, according to police.

Bridgeport Resident ID'd Who Died While In Police Custody
A 31-year-old man who died while in police custody over the weekend has been identified.
Justin Griffin, of Bridgeport, died early Sunday, Jan. 5, following his arrest on Saturday, Jan. 4, by Milford Police, said Connecticut State Police.
According to Milford Police, Griffin was taken into custody, without incident, during the course of a traffic stop when it was discovered that he was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.

Stratford's John Rich, 'Hero To Canines,' Dies At 56
John Edward Rich, 56, a hero to canines and their human companions in town, died Friday, Jan. 26 at Bridgeport Hospital.
The cause was complications from diabetes, a disease that he battled for years.
Mr. Rich was born Oct. 15, 1961 in Bridgeport, the son of Carol (Taylor) Rich and the late John B. Rich, Jr. of Stratford. He grew up in Lordship and was a life-long resident of Stratford.
