Three Shot, One Dead In Elizabeth: Prosecutors
Three people were shot, one fatally, in Elizabeth on Monday, June 26, authorities said.
At 8:30 p.m., Elizabeth police officers responded to the 600 block of Salem Avenue after receiving reports of multiple shot, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said.
Upon arrival, police found three gunshot victims inside a vehicle, Gurley Edouard a 28-year-old Roselle resident, a 23-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl, prosecutors said. Edouard was taken to Trinitas Hospital where he was pronounced dead, prosecutors said.
The other two victims are in stable condition, prosecutors said.

Authorities have identified the man who was fatally beat and struck by a car in Trenton Saturday night.
Edgar Geovani Sis-Luis, 34, of Trenton, was punched and stomped on before being struck by a white Honda Civic near South Clinton and Roebling avenues around 11:10 p.m., Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
Sis-Luis, who was found bleeding from his head and had visible tire marks across his torso, was pronounced dead at the scene, Onofri said.

Newark Trio Facing Murder Charges In Hillside Shooting
Three Newark men including two already jailed on previous charges were charged in a Hillside shooting that left one man dead last March, authorities said Friday.
Ameer J. Holcomb, 22, Maleak S. Williams, 22, and Ismael Merrill, 28, were each charged with first-degree murder and two related weapons offenses, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo said.

Arrest Made In July Shooting Of Newark Man, 22
An arrest has been made in last July's shooting of 22-year-old Tyree R. Quinones.
Al-Muqtadir Padgett, 32, a city resident, shot Quinones near 115 Sunset Ave., on July 13, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.
Padgett was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Padgett is currently in custody at the Essex County Correctional facility.
