A Maryland Lottery player won twice on a recent Mega Millions drawing, though one prize was decidedly larger than the other.
When "Ping Pong Champ," a self-described Lottery regular, realized she had two winning tickets, one for $3, and one worth $1,000,000, she says that she had an immediate plan.
The woman opted to cash out the $3 winning ticket for a $2 Mega Millions ticket for the next drawing, plus a $1 scratcher, while stashing the $1 million ticket in a safe place until she could make it down to Lottery Headquarters, officials said on Tuesday.

Troopers were called at approximately 3 a.m. to the inner loop of I-495 near Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, where there was a reported three-vehicle crash.

Exposure Investigation Leads To Bust Of Bicycle Burglar In Arlington: Police
Marvin Davis almost got away with it.
Davis, 59, was briefly detained on Thursday morning in Arlington following an indecent exposure incident, though he was later released, until more information came to light determining that he was, in fact, a wanted man.
Shortly before 7:45 a.m. on May 9, officers from the Arlington Police Department were called to the 1800 block of North Hartford Street to investigate the reported exposure, where they met Davis, who matched the description of the suspect.
