Police Urge Caution After Coyote, Fox Sightings In Teaneck
Police are urging caution after receiving several reports of fox and coyote sightings in Teaneck.
The animals were spotted near Queen Anne Road and Merrison Street.
"We are monitoring the situation," police said.
Coyotes tend to be carnivorous yet opportunistic animals, according to wildlifehelp.org.
"Their diet tends to reflect the most abundant prey species in their area and commonly includes small rodents, rabbits, carrion, deer, waterfowl, livestock, poultry and free-ranging pets," the site says.
