Waterbury Man Charged With Murder After Stabbing Wife In Neck, Police Say
A Connecticut man has been charged with murder for allegedly stabbing his wife in the neck with a knife during a domestic dispute.
New Haven County resident Allen Bell, age 35, of Waterbury, was arrested in Waterbury on Friday, April 19.
According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, officers responded to a home on East Main Street around 5 a.m. on a report of a domestic dispute.
Once inside, officer found a 43-year-old woman who had been stabbed in the neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Bessette said.

Waterbury Man To Be Charged With Murder Of Woman Found Dead, Police Say
A Connecticut man will be charged with the murder of his wife after she was found lying dead on a city street, a victim of domestic violence, police said.
The incident took place in New Haven County around 10:20 a.m., Tuesday, April 26 in Waterbury on Willow Street.
The victim, identified as Moesha Panton, was found when Waterbury police responded to an assault complaint in the area of Willow Street at Roseland Avenue, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.

CT Man Sentenced For Child Exploitation Offense
A Connecticut man has been sentenced for receiving child pornography over a mobile dating application.
Hartford County resident David Messier, age 36, of Bristol, was sentenced on Friday, Dec. 3, to 75 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release, according to an announcement from Leonard Boyle, acting United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
In July of 2017, Messier began communicating with Amber Foley, formerly of the New Haven County city of Meriden, on the dating application, MeetMe, the US Attorney's Office reported.

Babysitter Charged Over 8-Month-Old Found In Dumpster
Police have arrested a Hamden woman -the babysitter - in connection with the discovery of a baby in a Dumpster on Monday, Oct. 12.
Andiana Velez, 24, of Hamden, has been charged with:
- Risk of injury to a child
- Assault second degree
- Reckless endangerment first degree, police said.
Velez is believed to have been the child’s babysitter.
She is due in New Haven Superior Court today, Tuesday, Oct. 13, and is being held on $250,000 bail.
