Rapper Sexyy Redd Arrested After Newark Airport Brawl: Police
The rapper Sexyy Red was arrested at Newark Airport after a brawl broke out on the early morning of Saturday, June 8, authorities said.
At 1:20 a.m. officers responded to a fight in progress at Gate 82 in Terminal C in the airport, Port Authority police said. Two people were found to have lacerations to their head, police said.

Newark Motorcyclist, 29, Killed In Crash: Prosecutor
A 29-year-old Newark man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on the late afternoon of Tuesday, June 4, authorities said.
At 5 p.m., police responded to Broadway and Oriental Street on a report of a crash between a motorcycle and a Honda fit vehicle, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage said.

Authorities have identified the alleged gunman and released details in a police-involved shooting Monday in Montclair.
Maryann Swain, 39, a township resident, struck Montclair Police Officer Michael J. Medrano, 33, in the shoulder on the 100 block of Forest Street around 1:10 p.m. Monday, April 15, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said.
Medrano and other officers were responding to the scene on reports of an armed person and "were met with gunfire," Stephens said.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested for punching police officers breaking up a brawl in Newark, authorities said.
Khalil Cuttino, of Phillipsburg, had been wanted for aggravated assault on police officers in connection with the Friday, April 12 incident, and was taken into custody on Sunday, April 14, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Clinton Avenue for a man with a handgun around 5:10 p.m. Friday, where a large crowd had gathered, Frage said.

Teen Cheerleader Critical After Struck By Hit, Run Vehicle In Newark: Prosecutor, Report
An 18-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a hit and run vehicle in Newark on Sunday, Feb. 4, authorities said.
At 10:15 p.m., the girl was struck on the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II said. She was taken to University Hospital, Stephens said.
According to ABC7, the girl is a cheerleader who had just returned to Newark Arts High School following a competition.
The Essex County Prosecutorâs Crime Scene Investigations Bureau is investigating the crash, Stephens said.
Newark Shooting Suspect Busted In Las Vegas
Deidre Moses, a 28-year-old woman who previously lived in Bloomfield, was arrested last month in Las Vegas for shooting a man in Newark in August, authorities said.
At 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, police responded to North 4th Street and found a man who had been shot while inside his residence, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
