Wife Of Slain UConn Professor Who Hid Body In Burlington, Pleads Guilty
The wife of a University of Connecticut professor has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and keeping his body in the basement for several months to keep cashing his paychecks.
Hartford County resident Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi, age 76, of Burlington, pleaded guilty Monday, March 11, to manslaughter and larceny, according to Sharmese L. Walcott, Hartford Judicial District State’s Attorney.

Hartford County Man Sentenced For Wide-Ranging $1.3M Medicaid Fraud Scheme
A former licensed professional counselor was sentenced for operating a scheme to defraud the Connecticut Medicaid Program of more than $1.3 million.
Hartford County resident Cortney Dunlap, age 37, of Burlington, was sentenced on Friday, March 11, to 57 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Dunlap was also ordered to pay restitution to Medicaid of $1,313,322, Boyle said.
He pleaded guilty to one count of health care fraud on June 4, the US Attorney's Office reported.

State Police Release DUI Patrol Info, Checkpoint Locations For Thanksgiving Week Details
With tens of thousands of travelers driving through Connecticut during the Thanksgiving week, State Police are ramping up their plans to keep highways safe for all during the holiday rush.
Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 21, just after midnight, and running through Sunday, Nov. 25 at 11:59 p.m., state police will supplement its normal routine patrol personnel with additional Troopers throughout the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
