Slate Belt Senior Pointed Gun At Neighbor, Police Claim
A Northampton County man is accused of threatening his neighbor with a gun, say authorities.
Robert Overpeck Sr., 84, of Wind Gap, is charged with misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, simple assault, and reckless endangerment, Slate Belt Regional Police wrote in a release.
The neighbor claimed to police that on April 13, Overpeck walked onto her property, pulled a gun from a holster, and pointed it at her, the department said. A search of his home turned up a revolver in a holster as well as a rifle, police wrote.

Man Arrested For Groping Underage Girls At Suburban Philly High School Football Game
A 69-year-old man was arrested for groping underage girls during a high school football game in the Philadelphia suburbs, authorities said.
Pennsylvania State Police responded to the Palisades High School in Nockamixon Township around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct 7, they said.
Jay Donchez, of Wind Gap, "approached, talked to, and touched in various ways" several juvenile girls at the homecoming game, police said.
Donchez was subsequently arrested and charged with indecent assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct, a news release shows.

Driver With Warrant Flees After Lehigh Valley Crash: Slate Belt Police
A driver with an active New Jersey warrant fled from police after getting into a crash in the Lehigh Valley, authorities said.
Brandon R. Russ, 38, was involved in a multi-vehicle crash near 56 N. Lehigh Avenue in Wind Gap around 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, Slate Belt Regional Police said in a release on Monday, July 25.
As officers were on their way to the crash scene, Russ drove off, police said.
A follow-up investigation found that Russ had an active warrant out of New Jersey.

The Lehigh Valley community is mourning the loss of a Bethlehem police officer who died by suicide on July 4.
Matthew Ragusa was "a beckon of light to countless citizens who needed hope in their darkest hour," wrote Robert Corsi.
