The legendary actress and comedian Whoopi Goldberg, who has won an Emmy, Oscar, Tony and Grammy, will be signing copies of her new book, "The Change," at Bookends in Ridgewood on Sunday, July 28 at 1 p.m.
The graphic novel is about Isabel Frost, an amazing gamer, who develops superpowers and becomes The Change, known only to her comic-loving grandson and her best friend, according to a synopsis.

Comedian, actor, and filmmaker Billy Crystal, who is from New York, was one of five other iconic figures celebrated at the 46th Kennedy Center Honors.
Billy Crystal, known for his roles in movies such as “When Harry Met Sally...” and “City Slickers,” received his honors at the John F. Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington, DC in a pre-recorded show that was broadcast on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
