Forbes Ranks Bergen County Billionaire Among Richest People In America
"Forbes" has released its list of richest American residents.
And, yet again, three New Jersey residents were named.
Rocco Commisso, John Overdeck, and Peter Kellogg all made the cut. The billionaire trio also were ranked among the richest billionaires in the world last April by Forbes.
On the Forbes 400 list of Americans, Overdeck came in at No. 160, with a net worth of $7.4B; Commisso at No. 200 with a net worth of $6.4B; and Kellogg at No. 288 with a net worth of $4.6B.

David Tepper, who owns the Carolina Panthers and runs a hedge fund in one of New Jersey's wealthiest towns, was fined $300,000 by the NFL after he was caught tossing a drink at a fan on Sunday, Dec. 31.
Tepper, who lived in Livingston and moved back to the Garden State in 2020, tossed the beverage while watching his league worst Carolina Panthers lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brand-New Forbes Rankings Reveal Richest NY Residents
The richest people in America are revealed in a new Forbes 400 ranking, which includes over a dozen New Yorkers.
To come up with its 41st annual list of the 400 wealthiest Americans, the outlet consulted with a variety of sources, including financial advisors, Securities and Exchange Commission documents, court filings, attorneys, and news articles.
Researchers looked at assets held, including public and private companies, as well as personal property like car collections, yachts, planes, and jewelry.
Debts and charitable giving were also factored in, Forbes said.

New York is home to some of the wealthiest businessmen and women in the US, according to a new Forbes ranking.
The global media company released the Forbes 400 of 2021, which includes several familiar faces to New Yorkers highlighted by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who cracked the top 10 this year.
Each year, Forbes runs the numbers to determine the wealthiest residents in each of the 50 states, including more than 750 candidates who were whittled down to the top 400 wealthiest Americans.
