A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to selling fentanyl to an area man who died from an overdose.
Orange County resident Timothy Lempicki, age 36, of Washingtonville, a village in Blooming Grove, pled guilty on Wednesday, April 3, to the crimes of manslaughter and criminal sale of a controlled substance in connection with the death of a man who was found dead in New Windsor on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
An autopsy revealed that the man had died due to a fatal overdose of fentanyl, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.

A man wanted in connection with an alleged home invasion in which an area resident was stabbed, has been nabbed by authorities.
Jamel McCaskill, of New York City, was arrested in New Jersey on Friday, April 16, for the n Orange County incident which took place in Washingtonville on Saturday, Jan. 30.
According to felony complaints filed with the Washingtonville Village Court, on Jan. 30, McCaskill entered a residence in the village and used a large kitchen knife to stab an individual inside.

Nearly 100,000 Rockland and Orange County residents were left without power as Tropical Storm Isaias rocked the region with extreme wind gusts that toppled trees, felled utility poles and downed power lines throughout the area.
Orange & Rockland Utilities was reporting 2,476 outages in the Hudson Valley as of 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, impacting 71,013 of their 229,619 customers.
In Rockland County, there were 46,548 outages, with an additional 23,399 in Orange County. There were also a total of 1,066 outages in Sullivan and Ulster counties.

Large Brush Fire Breaks Out In Orange County
A least a dozen fire companies have responded to a large brush fire on Lodge Mountain in Orange County that spread quickly with building winds.
The fire started Thursday afternoon, April 4, near 10 Estybrook Trail, on the mountain, said the Mountain Lodge Park Fire Company.
The department said the fire was "very large."
There was no word if homes were in the line of the fire.

A man accused of ramming into a family of eight in front of a 7-Eleven store in Rockland County, killing the pregnant mother, stood in an orange jumpsuit, shackled at the waist as his attorney entered a not guilty plea in court on Friday.
