Man Accused Of Driving Recklessly, Fleeing Police In Hauppauge
A man was arrested and accused of fleeing police and driving recklessly on Long Island.
The incident happened on Commerce Drive in Hauppauge at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Police responded to a report of vehicles racing on Commerce Drive, and located 26-year-old Michael Beyer, of Queens, in a 2014 Nissan 370Z preparing to race another vehicle, SCPD said.
Officers tried to pull the Nissan over, but Beyer drove away, weaving in and out of traffic before stopping near Moreland Road, police said.

Duo Charged In Connection With Long Island Shooting
Police have released the identities of two men charged in connection with a Long Island shooting.
John Argueta, age 29, was arrested on Tuesday, June 8, and Junior Argueta, age 18, both of Brentwood, was arrested on Friday, June 10, by Suffolk County Police in connection with the shooting which took place in Mastic Beach on Thursday, June 3.
On the night of the shooting, a man was hit in the leg by a gunshot outside of a home on Parkwood Drive at about 7:42 p.m., police said.
The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A man turned himself in to New York State Police following a pursuit on I-87 in Westchester.
Elisha D. Vazquez, age 39, of Kingston, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 8, for the incident which took place on Saturday, Dec. 26 in the town of Greenburgh, said the state police.

A driver who took police on a chase on I-87 following a traffic stop in Westchester ended up crashing the vehicle and was allegedly caught with drugs.
The incident took place around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 in the Village of Ardsley, when State Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Cory L. Lee, 41, of Woodbridge, Virginia on I-87 for traffic violations said Trooper Tara L. McCormick.

A 36-year-old motorcyclist who tried to outrun Yorktown Police attempting a to stop him for speeding was eventually nabbed after police had to call off the chase.
The chase took place around 5:52 p.m., Saturday, March 27, when a Yorktown Police officer attempted to stop Kafian Gooden, of East Hartford, Connecticut, for speeding on Crompond Road, said the Yorktown Police.
