Maryland Ranks High Among 'Happiest States' In US, New Study Found
Don't worry, be happy.
Maryland is the second happiest state in America, according to a newly released ranking by Wallethub.
To determine where Americans are most satisfied with their lives, researchers keyed in on which states "exhibit the best combination of good economic, emotional, physical and social health."
All 50 states were measured across 30 key metrics, according to WalletHub, including things such as the share of adult depression, number of work hours, and ideal weather.

All the best places to live in the state are in or around Boston, according to Niche’s 2021 Best Places to Live survey. The ranked list features 486 Massachusetts cities, towns, and neighborhoods.

The unemployment rate in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange increased year over year according to the State Labor Department's report for Nov. 2017.
In Westchester, the unemployment rate was 4.6 percent, an increase from 4.1 percent in Nov. 2016.
In Putnam, the unemployment rate was 4.3 percent, an increase from 3.8 percent in Nov. 2016.
