Firefighters Battle Apartment Blaze In South Jersey
Firefighters from multiple departments in South Jersey battled an apartment fire, authorities said.
On Tuesday, July 30, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Gloucester Township Police Officers were dispatched to 1341 Blackwood Clementon Road, Millbridge Apartments, Building 900, in response to a reported apartment fire.
Fire departments from Blackwood, Chews Landing, Erial and Lambs Terrace, along with departments from Pine Hill, Runnemede, and Bellmawr, responded and successfully brought the fire under control, police said. Assistance was also provided by Inspira BLS and Virtua ALS.

Dumont Hardware Owner Closing Up Shop Reflects On 78 Years Of Business
Bill Salisbury was just a kid when he began working at Dumont Hardware.
His father, Harry, opened the store in 1946, and when he turned 12 , Salisbury would come in on weekends to help clean the place.
As he wiped down the windows and swept the floors, Salisbury would listen in on the conversations between the electricians, plumbers, and painters who came for supplies.
Over the years, Salisbury gleaned enough insight to fix just about anything, and by 19, he was working at the 33 Dumont Ave. store full-time, in lieu of earning a degree at the Parsons School of Design.

NJ Postal Worker Admits Spending $54,000 On USPS Credit Cards
A post office worker in South Jersey admitted going on a $54,000 personal spending spree, buying power tools, gift cards, groceries and more with U.S. Postal Service plastic.
Austin T. Mahan, 44, of Cape May Court House, was working at the Sea Isle and Somers Point facilities when he used postal service credit cards at retail stores in and around New Jersey over a six-month period beginning in 2022, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.

Newly Minted Millionaire: Powerball Lottery Player Takes Home $2M In South Jersey
There is a new millionaire in South Jersey.
One lucky Powerball lottery ticket matched five of the five white balls for the Wednesday, Feb. 28, drawing.
The ticket won a $1 million second-tier prize. The ticket was purchased with the Power Play option, multiplying the win to $2 million, state Lottery officials said.
The winning ticket was sold at Smoker’s Outlet, 123 W. Clements Bridge, Runnemede in Camden County.
