HAZMAT: Tainted Substance Sickens Newark Bank Workers A possible HazMat situation was reported at a Newark bank Tuesday, May 2 when a man handed the teller tainted cash, authorities said. The Wells Fargo Bank on Lyons Avenue was evacuated around 12:10 p.m., when the teller and other employees said they had been feeling sick. Three employees were taken to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center as firefighters and police investigated.  It was not immediately clear what the cash had been tainted with. The bank was listed as being temporarily closed on Google Tuesday evening.
