Flight From Newark To Rome Drops 28K Feet In 8 Minutes
A United Airlines flight headed to Rome diverted back to Newark after a scary pressurization issue.
United Airlines Flight 510 dropped more than 28,000 feet in less than 10 minutes, approximately 90 minutes after departing Newark Liberty International Airport around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, according to flight-tracking website FlightAware.
The Boeing 777 hit its highest altitude of 37,000 feet at 10:07 p.m., but plummeted to 8,000 feet by 10:15 p.m., records show. The aircraft diverted back to Newark at an altitude of 8,800 feet at 10::40 p.m., records show.

Four people were arrested and one is still at large after crashing a stolen BMW on Route 287 and fleeing from police, prompting a search that lasted several hours, authorities said.
Police in Lincoln Township attempted to stop a stolen black BMW 750 on Route 202 around 9:20 a.m. Sunday, July 9.
The vehicle then entered Rt. 287 northbound and became disabled as five occupants ran from the scene.
Montville Township officers assisted with a several-hour search, eventually locating four of the five occupants.

A Paterson-based school bus company owner from Wayne and his manager hired criminals as drivers – including a registered sex offender – and covered it up, a state grand jury indictment charges.
Shelim Khalique, the 52-year-old owner/operator of A-1 Elegant Tours on Paterson Street, and manager Henry Rhodes, 57, of Paterson, hired drivers without background checks or mandatory drug tests while operating unsafe buses, state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said.
