A Pennsylvania man who arranged what he thought was sex with a pre-teen in a New Jersey hotel was instead seized by federal agents when he showed up, authorities said Wednesday.

A joint investigation by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office Gang, Gun and Narcotics Task Force, United States Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Office, and the Mount Laurel Police Department culminated in the seizure on Monday, Dec. 19 of 10,000 fentanyl pills – worth $40,000 on the street – and the arrest of a 33-year-old Florida man.

Mercy Killing? South Jersey Man May Have Killed Wife To End Suffering, Prosecutor Says
An 84-year-old South Jersey man who said his wife was suffering and "in poor health" stabbed her to death, authorities said.
Dan Mook, who is accused of fatally stabbing his 82-year-old wife, turned the knife on himself afterward, but survived, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Mount Laurel Police Chief Stephen Riedener.
Authorities are calling it a possible "mercy killing."

A 34-year-old repeat offender from the Jersey Shore has admitted to possessing thousands of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse, authorities said.
Andrew Ramey, 34, of Brick, pleaded guilty on Tuesday by videoconference before U.S. District Judge Brian R. Martinotti to a possession of child pornography charge, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig.

Toms River Man Admits Robbing Local Bank
A Toms River man admitted robbing a local bank in 2019, authorities said Wednesday.
Patrick Callahan, 47, passed a note to the teller at the Chase Bank on Route 37 around 3:30 p.m. Dec. 31, 2019, saying he had a gun and then left with $1,000, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Callahan was arrested without incident on Jan. 2, 2021, by officers of the Mount Laurel Police Department in Burlington County.

Two South Jersey men have been arrested in last month's killing of a Camden man who was lured into a hotel room to be robbed, authorities said. The victim's stolen debit card was used to buy pizza and items from Amazon, police said.
