Three people including an 11-year-old girl died in a Newark crash in which three others were injured, authorities said Tuesday.
A Honda was heading south on Broad Street when it hit a northbound Mazda Sunday around 7 p.m. at Central Avenue, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, said in a joint release.
The Mazda was sent into a Toyota on impact, killing Honda passenger Elba Galarza, 77, of Glen Ridge, and Clarise Pizcha, 11, a rear seat passenger in the Mazda, authorities said.

Seen Them? Warrants Issued For Newark Burglary Suspects
Authorities in Newark have issued warrants for two burglary suspects in separate incidents — one commercial and one residential.
James Spotswood, also known as Ali, 54, is wanted for burglarizing the Honig Chemical building on Wilson Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said
Spotswood damaged the locks to the back entrance sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24 and 4:45 a.m. on Monday, April 27, Ambrose said.
He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds with a dark brown complexion, black hair, brown eyes and a scar on his left eye, authorities said.

Road Rage: Bicyclist Follows, Punches On-Duty EMT At Newark Gas Station, Authorities Charge
An East Orange bicyclist punched and spit on an EMT in a Newark road rage incident, authorities said.
Terrell Coley, 30, “rode his bike in front of an emergency vehicle driven by the EMT, almost causing a collision,” state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said.
Coley began yelling at the EMT and followed him into a Central Avenue gas station, where he spit on his and punched him in the face, Grewal said.
He pedaled off, but Newark police quickly identified and arrested him, the attorney general said.
