Fatal Shooting: 15-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Schenectady Police in the Capital Region have identified a 15-year-old boy who was shot and killed. The incident happened in Schenectady around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in the 1100 block of Congress Street. According to the Schenectady Police, officers found a large crowd running from the area when they arrived.  They located Dubar T. Knowles, of Schenectady, in the backyard of 1122 Congress St., suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. Knowles later died from his injuries, police said. Warren County resident Joshua Tessier, of Glens Falls, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 8. New York State Police announced the arrest Monday, Sept. 18. According to troopers, Tessier had inappropriate sexual contact with two children in Kingsbury in Washington County in 2020. Investigations were tipped off about the alleged abuse in April 2023.
