Double Fatal: 22-Year-Old Man, 14-Year-Old Girl Both Hit By Car In Region
Two pedestrians were struck and killed by a car while walking along a roadway in the early morning hours.
The crash took place in Sullivan County around 3 a.m., Monday, May 29, at 1524 Gulf Road in the town of Callicoon.
Trooper Steven Nevel said officers responded to the crash after the driver of the vehicle, identified as Alyssa Diaz, age 24, of Roscoe, notified police she had hit two people on Gulf Road.
An investigation revealed that Diaz was driving a 2012 Honda when she struck William Hardenberg, age 22, and a 14-year-old girl, both of Callicoon, Nevel said.

State police are seeking witnesses to a double fatal crash that killed an area man.
The crash took place in Sullivan County, around 3:45 p.m., Monday, March 27, near Liberty on Route 97, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
A preliminary investigation revealed a 2008 Audi A4, driven by James Card, age 34, from Beach Lake, Pennsylvania was traveling southbound when it was involved in a head-on collision with a 2020 Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound, driven by Sullivan County resident Edward Sykes, age 24, from North Branch, a hamlet of Callicoon.

A 29-year-old driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region.
Troopers in Sullivan County responded to a report of a crash in the town of Delaware on Jeffersonville North Branch Road at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, New York State Police reported.
Investigators found that a 2017 Volkswagen Passat, driven by a 62-year-old man from the town of Callicoon, was traveling north when, for unknown reasons, he crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2020 Chevrolet, according to the report.
