Two South Plainfield men were recently arrested and charged with burglarizing several gas stations on Route 22 in Somerset County in May, authorities said.
On Thursday, May 2, at 3:16 a.m., Macario Wilchez, a 20-year-old South Plainfield resident wearing a hoodie, face mask and glove broke the glass in the front door of a gas station to gain entry and stole numerous vape products before fleeing the area, Somerset Prosecutor John McDonald said.

Burglary Spree: Teen Trio Nabbed For Long Island Incidents, Police Say
A group of teen boys was arrested after police said they stole from the same Long Island business multiple times.
The Merrick incident occurred on Sunday, June 16.
Just after 10:30 p.m. that day, Nassau County Police responded to Merrick Bicycles, located at 1829 Merrick Avenue, for a reported burglary.
When they arrived, authorities reportedly found and arrested three teens — ages 13, 14, and 17 — at the scene.
The 13- and 17-year-old were allegedly discovered to be behind two additional burglaries, also at Merrick Bicycles, on May 24 and June 8.

Burglar Who Targeted Capital Region Businesses Nabbed Over Year Later, Police Say
A suspected burglar is facing charges more than a year after allegedly targeting multiple businesses in the region.
Columbia County resident James Smith, age 52, of Hudson, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 20, in connection with a burglary at a Brunswick business in Rensselaer County in April 2022.
According to New York State Police, Smith broke into a business on Hoosick Road at around 4:40 a.m. on April 3, 2022. The business was closed and unoccupied at the time.

Know Him? Man Wanted For Long Island Burglaries
Police on Long Island are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged burglary and another attempted burglary.
The burglary took place in Franklin Square around 2:50 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 28 at the CardSmart store located at 326 Dogwood Ave.
According to Nassau County detectives, the man broke the front glass door of the business and removed the ATM machine, an undetermined amount of cash, a laptop, lottery tickets, and multiple cartons of cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
