Fourth Suspect Arrested For Attack On Off-Duty Cop In Philadelphia Arthur Jones was arrested by US Marshals in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday, May 28.  Jones, 38, was wanted in connection with the assault and robbery of PPD Officer Eric Rodriguez on May 12.  Marshals said he was hiding in a hotel when law enforcement tracked him down around 11:30 a.m. He surrendered without incident, authorities said.  Officials have said several people assaulted Rodriguez on Oxford Street and stole his gun. Holiday Weekend Ends In 29 DUI Arrests In Lehigh Valley Area: State Police State troopers have released the results of their Memorial Day Holiday traffic enforcement initiative.  PSP's Troop M — which includes Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties — said they made 29 DUI arrests between Friday, May 24 and Monday, May 27. Passenger Dies After Carbon County Wreck: Coroner A Lower Towamensing man died days after a car he was riding in crashed in Montour County.  Jason Reed was the passenger in a vehicle that wrecked on Ashtown Road in Mahoning Township on Friday, May 24, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  He was taken to University Hospital in Bethlehem where he died from complications of multiple traumatic injuries on Tuesday morning, officials said. Power Outage Closes Elementary School In Allentown Allentown's Ramos Elementary School is closed on Tuesday, May 28 due to a power outage, district officials say.  Jackson Early Childhood Center is also closed for the day, administrators said. No other Allentown schools are affected by the outage.  According to the PPL outage map, the issue was caused by a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Crews have been dispatched to make repairs and PPL said they hope to restore power by 3:30 p.m.

Bus Hits Pedestrian In North Philadelphia: SEPTA One person was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Philadelphia's Hunting Park on Monday night, May 27.  SEPTA said it happened near the corner of 13th Street and Erie Avenue around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was hit by the left side mirror of a Route 56 bus, according to transit officials.  "The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, however, the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening," a spokesperson said.  No one on the bus was injured, they added.
