Wrong-Way Driver Punches, Kicks Officers After Chase, Crash In Wilton: Police
A wrong-way Connecticut driver led police on a brief pursuit before crashing into two other cars, injuring a driver, and then assaulting two officers, police said.
The Fairfield County incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the town of Wilton.
Wilton Police said Jorge Oliva, age 48, of Trumbull, was seen speeding in a Honda SUV going northbound in the southbound lanes of Route 7 (Danbury Road) near Ridgefield Road close to oncoming traffic.

Two men were apprehended after allegedly dumping a truckload of used vehicle tires near a local retail parking lot in Fairfield County.
The men were caught in Trumbull around 8 p.m. Friday, May 19 in the area of Old Mine Park.
Jamel Bracy, age 25, of the Bronx, New York, and Jordan Malone, age 26, of Danbury, were charged with littering and discharge without a permit when they were stopped by officers several blocks away on Route 25, said Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police.

Police caught a truck driver from Mount Vernon red-handed illegally dumping debris and asphalt in a local parking lot in Westchester.
Officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department spotted the driver from a Connecticut company, Ruben Cruz, 57, on Thursday, May 30, dumping in the public parking lot 17, police announced.
Cruz, a Third Avenue resident, was accused of littering and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Mount Vernon City Court on July 15.
