Popular TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie had to leave the set early on Tuesday, Feb. 28, after testing positive for COVID-19, according to NBC News.
Guthrie, who lives in the Hudson Valley in Dutchess County, took a rapid COVID-19 test while the show was on the air after saying she didn't feel well.
She did not appear again after the 7:30 a.m. hour after testing positive for the third time, NBC News said.

Kathie Lee Gifford, who has hosted the fourth hour of NBC-TV's “Today” show for a decade, will be leaving in 2019 to focus on other projects, she announced at the end of the show on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
The longtime resident of Greenwich will continue hosting the show until her 11th anniversary, on Sunday, April 7, 2019.

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Ann Curry of New Canaan has broken her silence on leaving the "Today" show, telling People.com that "it hurt like hell" when she was fired over five years ago.
