Jury Finds Stony Point Man Guilty Of Shoving Pregnant Woman
A Hudson Valley man has been found guilty of criminal contempt for shoving a pregnant woman to the ground.
Rockland County resident Eric Tranholm, age 28, of Stony Point, was convicted by a jury on Wednesday, March 30.
On Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021, at the Budget Motor Inn in the Town of Stony Point, Tranholm is shown on video surveillance running up to the victim and throwing his hands over her from behind, and forcefully bringing her to the ground, , said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh.

Spring Valley Man Caught Stealing From ShopRite In Stony Point, Police Say
A 29-year-old man was allegedly caught stealing from the ShopRite store in Stony Point.
Kevin Michel, of Spring Valley, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 6, after Stony Point police received a report of a man shoplifting in ShopRite, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel J Hylas.
According to police, Michel was observed leaving the store with a handbasket containing stolen merchandise and then entered a vehicle.
Officers were able to stop the vehicle and Michel was found to have a suspended driver's license, Hylas said.

Drunk Driver, 23, Faces Multiple Charge After Crash That Killed Passenger From Stony Point
A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fatal crash that killed a 22-year-old Rockland County resident.
Jarret June, of Fort Carson, Colorado, was arrested on Saturday, May 25, and charged with vehicular manslaughter, reckless endangerment, two counts of DWI, and reckless driving, following the crash that left Nicholas Keefer of Stony Point dead, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas.
Stony Point officers responded to the crash around 3:40 a.m., Saturday, May 25, on Beach Road in Stony Point, said Hylas.

A man from Stony Point has been charged after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend in front of her child, according to police.
Robert Millet, 30, turned himself in at Stony Point Police Department on Monday, March 25 around 5 p.m. He was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute on Saturday, March 23 that led to the assault of his live-in girlfriend in front of her child, police say.

A 24-year-old man turned himself into police following a domestic dispute in which he allegedly physically attacked his ex-girlfriend.
Stephen Guerrero of Spring Valley was charged with attempted assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal contempt following the attack on Tuesday, July 3, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas.

Man Caught With Heroin Near School Zone In Rockland
A Rockland County man was busted with 13 decks of heroin near a school zone following a traffic stop, according to the Stony Point Police.
Nicholas Pagliuca, 41, of Stony Point, was arrested Thursday, June 14, when officers stopped Pagliuca for speeding in a school zone on Route 210 in Stony Point, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.
During a search following the stop, Pagliuca was found to be in possession of heroin and a hypodermic instrument, Hylas said.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument, police said.

Man Caught Trying To Enter Vacant Rockland Home, Police Say
A Stony Point man was busted for criminal trespass and possession of pot after police found him, along with another man, attempting to enter a vacant home.
Jeremy T. Garcia, 21, was arrested Tuesday, June 5, after Stony Point police responded to a reported incident of two men attempting to enter a vacant home on Beech Road, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.
The responding officer located the suspects in the rear yard of the home allegedly smoking marijuana, Hylas said.
