'Incredibly Grateful': Republican Marc Molinaro Prevails In NY's 19th District Race
In another win for Republicans, Marc Molinaro has prevailed over Democrat Josh Riley in New York’s 19th Congressional District, NBC News projects.
Molinaro, the Dutchess County executive, was leading Riley 51.1 to 48.9 percent with 99 percent of the vote counted as of Wednesday evening, Nov. 9.

29-Year-Old From Thompson Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash In Town Of Delaware
A 29-year-old driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region.
Troopers in Sullivan County responded to a report of a crash in the town of Delaware on Jeffersonville North Branch Road at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, New York State Police reported.
Investigators found that a 2017 Volkswagen Passat, driven by a 62-year-old man from the town of Callicoon, was traveling north when, for unknown reasons, he crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2020 Chevrolet, according to the report.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Entire Region, With Damaging Wind Gusts Possible
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for the entire region.
Damaging winds with gusts that could cause power outings are the main threat, the National Weather Service said in issuing the alert. Flash flooding, frequent lightning and large hail are possible.
It lasts until 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, for these areas:
Long Island,
Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster counties in the Hudson Valley,
All of New York City,

Storms Knock Out Power In Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan: Here's Latest Breakdown
Thousands in the Hudson Valley lost power overnight as thunderstorms brought down trees and power lines weeks after Tropical Storm Isaias rocked the region.
As of around 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, NYSEG was still reporting 67 customers without power in Dutchess County, 343 in Sullivan County, and 15 in Ulster County.
Central Hudson had 442 Dutchess customers without power, and an additional three in Ulster County, while Orange & Rockland Utilities had 639 of its 9,093 customers in Sullivan County still without power.

Storm With Gusty Winds Knocks Out Power, Brings Down Trees, Power Lines In Ulster, Sullivan
Hundreds of Ulster and Sullivan County residents have been left in the dark as storms roll through the region, bringing whipping winds of more than 50 mph that toppled tree limbs and downed power lines.
As of 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13, Central Hudson was reporting that 1,991 of its 90,1000 Ulster County residents were reporting power outages, while NYSEG was reporting 352 outages in Sullivan County, with an additional 59 in Ulster.
