Detour Ahead: Train Track Work To Slow Traffic In Lansdale
Lansdale drivers can expect detours over the weekend as work begins on the Main Street SEPTA track crossing, officials say.
SEPTA workers will be removing and replacing the existing crossing surface, worn ties, and rails through the intersection, according to borough police.
A new asphalt surface and approaches will be installed, milled, and paved to provide a smoother ride across the tracks, authorities said.
Work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 17, and last through 6 p.m. Monday, May 20.

New Traffic Pattern, Closures Announced On LIE In Oyster Bay
Both directions of the Long Island Expressway will be off-limits for construction, and the new traffic pattern is expected to last months, transportation officials said.
The New York State Department of Transportation announced that from Monday, Sept. 11 to Wednesday, Sept. 13, both directions of I-495 at Exit 48 will be closed in Oyster Bay and Huntington.
The closures, which are scheduled for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting, are to establish the new work zone and traffic pattern for a bridge deck renewal project.

Boston's Back Bay is about to get a little more playful.
The LEGO Group, makers of the beloved interlocking bricks, announced that the company's headquarters for the Americas will relocate from Enfield, in Hartford County, Connecticut, to 1001 Boylston Street, Boston in 2026.
The company announced in January 2023 that it was searching for a new home for its headquarters. After an "extensive" search, the Boylston Street location was chosen for its rich history, central location between Cambridge and Boston, and the region's diverse talent pool.
