Coroner Names Driver Killed In Williams Township Crash
A 25-year-old man died in a single-car crash on Thursday morning, June 6, authorities say. Rashon Christian-James Cooke of Philadelphia crashed at the corner of Berger and Diehl roads in Williams Township, said the Northampton County Coroner's Office. According to state police, Cooke was headed west on Diehl when his truck left the roadway, struck an embankment, and then hit a traffic sign before overturning. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, the Coroner's Office added.

City police are looking for an 82-year-old woman in Philadelphia. Gloria Huenke was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 on the 200 block of West Upsal Street, authorities said. She is 5-foot-2, 110 pounds with greying red hair, brown eyes, glasses, and a cane. She was wearing a long light blue nightgown shirt and white or blue slippers. Patrol Car Strikes 5-Year-Old Girl, Philadelphia Police Say
A child was hospitalized after being struck by a police car in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday night, June 4, authorities say. A patrol officer hit a 5-year-old girl on the 1600 block of South Ithan Street just before 7:30 p.m., PPD said. She was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and is reportedly in stable condition. No one else was injured and the crash is under investigation, police said.

A Tacony man is in custody after an hour-long standoff on Tuesday, June 4, Philadelphia police told Daily Voice. Authorities said they were called to the 7100 block of Montague Street just before noon for a "neighbor dispute." They arrived to find a 65-year-old woman dead with gunshot wounds, police said. A 24-year-old man took the blue Honda Odyssey with the girl inside at 2600 N 16th St., around 1:35 p.m. Saturday, June 1, police said. Almost 40 years after her remains were discovered in Philadelphia, authorities are still working to identify the Collom Street Jane Doe. Skeletal remains including a skull, a jaw, and three other bones were located in a wooded area on Nov. 25, 1984, according to state police and the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.
