Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Troopers responded to the crash at about 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 on I-295 north milepost 76.4 in Ewing Township.  Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between a Hyundai and a Freightliner box truck subsequently causing the Hyundai to strike a pedestrian road worker, according to New Jersey State Police. Driver Hospitalized After Smashing Into Roadway Service Vehicle In Mercer County A 23-year-old driver was hospitalized after she crashed into an unoccupied roadway service vehicle along Route 29 in Mercer County, authorities said. Manajae Burke, of Bordentown, was driving northbound in a Honda Civic near milepost 0.7 in Hamilton at about 1:15 a.m. Monday, May 27 when she veered off the highway and struck a guardrail before rear-ending the Ford F350 pickup, New Jersey State Police said. The woman suffered serious injuries.  No one else was hurt., State Police said.

Vineland's Bernadette DiDomenico-Bentz, Owned Hair Salon, 55 Bernadette I. DiDomenico-Bentz died at home on Thursday, May 16, according to an obituary published by Pancoast Funeral Home. She was 55 years old. Bernadette graduated in 1987 from Vineland High School, her obituary said. She owned her own salon, the Hair Hut, for many years, her obit said. Bernadette loved knitting and crocheting scarves and blankets for her family. Sayreville Explosion Knocks Power To 4,300 An explosion in Sayreville injured one person and left some residents without power, police said. The explosion occurred about noon on Friday, May 24 near Main Street and Sayreville Boulevard, police said in a release. Sayreville police said a related fire was under control. Main Street was closed between Sayreville Blvd South and MacArthur Avenue. According to JCP&L, 4,300 customers were without power. There was no ETA on power restoration.
