A Philadelphia man will spend more than three years in prison after pulling a gun on a man in Atlantic City, authorities said. Sean Bennett, 31, was sentenced on Friday, June 7, to five years in state prison for second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. An argument between two groups in Philadelphia last month led to the shooting death of an uninvolved woman, according to city police. Authorities said it happened around 4:45 p.m. on May 11, when three men were walking on the 4700 block of North Broad Street. They came across another group and "appeared to have a verbal dispute" before one man pulled out a handgun and opened fire, police said. A 29-year-old man was found guilty on Monday, June 10, of soliciting sex from a 14-year-old in a sting operation, authorities said. Dimitri Shawn McKenzie, of Boston, was found guilty of attempted sex trafficking of a child following a three-day trial, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.
