17-Year-Old Charged With Chester High Schooler's Murder: Police
One teen is in custody after another was shot and killed in Chester on Sunday night, June 9, city police said. Authorities were called to the Wallingford Estates Apartments, 2701 Madison Street, around 8 p.m. They arrived to find victim Sabrie Pierce suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Virginia State Police have identified the two DUI drivers involved in a crash on I-495 that hospitalized a trooper. The trooper was dispatched to a sedan in a northbound lane around 3 a.m. to help a sedan that had stopped near Exit 52 in Fairfax County, a spokesperson for the VSP said. The sedan's driver, Erica D. A 42-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Monroe Township, authorities said. The driver was eastbound on Buckelew Avenue near Grace Hill Road at about 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 when he struck the man walking in the roadway, Monroe police said. Four thieves smashed the glass door to break into a designer handbag store in Morris County on Tuesday, June 11, authorities said At 3:11 a.m., the four suspects broke into Couture Traders, which sells luxury handbags, at 1395 Route 46 West in Ledgewood, the Roxbury Police Department said. The suspects stole 50 items during the break-in, police said. The store sells handbags from brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Yves Saint Lauren, often priced at hundreds and thousands of dollars.
