Irish Traveler Posing As Repairman Tears Hole In Glen Rock Resident's Roof: Police
A con man contractor was charged by Glen Rock police after he and an accomplice ripped a hole in a resident’s roof, authorities said.
Jimmy Jones, 42, and his partner knocked on the victim’s door, unsolicited, claiming to be contractors who could tend to what appeared to be necessary roof repairs, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
The victim reviewed a handout, agreed to an estimate and then went inside, the chief said.
Moments later, the resident heard banging on the roof and hustled outside to find the two on the roof, which suddenly had a hole in it, Ackermann said.

A Montgomery County father was charged with attempted murder in the alleged beating of his 2-month-old son, authorities said.
Daniel Rohloff, 33, of Bridgeport, left Landon Rohloff with rib fractures, both new and healing, bilateral subdural hemorrhages, bruising and lacerations to his liver, and bruising on multiple areas of his body, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

DNA, Video Surveillance Leads To Arrest Of Alleged Neighborhood Burglar, Police Say
A Connecticut man was nabbed on DNA evidence and video footage to a series of alleged residential break-ins.
Douglas T. Senerth, age 31, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 4 in Hartford County by South Winsor Police on six active warrants connected with break-ins in his neighborhood, said Sgt. Mark Cleverdon.
The charges stem from an investigation that spanned from November 2019 through September 2020, police said.
