A fare dispute in which a man became angry and tapped a gun on the glass of a SEPTA train door before running away prompted a boosted police presence at Villanova University Tuesday, Feb. 14, officials said. The incident occurred on an inbound Norristown High Speed Line train at Villanova Station around 10:30 p.m., SEPTA spokesperson Kelly Greene said. A 43-year-old man was arrested Friday, Sept. 30 after police say he was walking around the Villanova University campus without permission and became combative with officers. Anthony Dimaio, of Bryn Mawr, was released without having to post bail after being arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and other related offenses, Radnor Township police said. Villanova University officials have issued a safety alert, warning students and staff to be on the lookout for a man who has been caught loitering on campus multiple times in the last year. Iyanu Elijah Solomon tried forcing a female student into sexual acts in September 2019, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office told 6abc.
