Kidnappers Who Demanded $680,000 Ransom For Fort Lee Man Get Up To 18 Years Without Release
𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: Four men who kidnapped a Fort Lee man from his home and held him for a $680,000 ransom must serve from 12 to 18 years in federal prison before they'll be eligible for release.
The harshest plea-bargained sentence went to Albert Ferrelli, 52, of Queens, who must serve nearly 18 years of a 250-month prison sentence before he'll be eligible for release, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
Next was fellow Queens resident Chiahao Lee, 32, who must serve nearly 13 years of a 180-month stretch, the U.S. attorney said.

Florida Pals Spent 2 Years Breaking Into Cars At Fairfax County Parks: Cops
A pair of Florida pals were arrested in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins at numerous Fairfax County parks, police said.
David Daniel Moraga-Nunez, 43 and Jonny Marcelo Sandoval-Barraza, 38, broke into countless vehicles between May 2022 and March 2024, stealing and using credit cards at various stores, county police said.
Nunez and Barraza were identified as suspects using surveillance footage, license plate reader technology, and a review of credit card transactions. Police say they broke into cars at Hemlock Park, Fountain Head Park, and Burke Lake Park.

Man Wanted For Murder Of Suitland Woman, 27: Police
Police have identified and obtained an arrest warrant for one of the two men believed to be connected to last weekend's deadly shooting of a Prince George’s County woman.
Raheem Hawkins-Boseman, 22, of Silver Spring, was charged on an arrest warrant with first-degree murder, the PGPD said Friday, March 22.
The charges come following the shooting of Jessica Somerville, 27, of Suitland, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot on the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, March 17.

Car Burglars Hit 26 Vehicles In Leesburg (Video)
Police in Leesburg are investigating a rash of car thefts, some of which were caught on surveillance footage.
The multiple thefts from vehicles and tampering incidents occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 6, local police said.
Of the 26 vehicles involved, 14 were entered and had items taken, police said. None of the entered vehicles were believed to be locked. Items that were taken include a handgun, money, wallet, purse, credit cards, and gift cards. Click here to watch surveillance footage captured.

McLean Motel Rapist, 23, Of Falls Church, Sodomized Woman At Knifepoint: Cops
Police have made an arrest in a September rape at a Fairfax County motel, they said.
Erick Vladamir Chacon Martinez, 23, had arranged to meet the victim at the Quarry Inn Motel at 7179 Lee Highway on Sept. 16, county police said.
When the victim opened the door, Chacon Martinez pulled out a knife and threatened the victim, police said. The suspect then sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to escape the room and call 911.

Police in Newark are seeking the man who was captured on surveillance footage stealing a woman's purse, containing $3,000.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, as the woman tried to enter her apartment building on 13th Avenue in Newark, police said.
The man can be seen standing idly, before snatching the woman's bag, which contained $2,800 worth of money orders and $200 in cash, police said.

Federal officials say that a Maryland man is behind bars for a double murder and shooting of a third victim in Southeast DC last year.
Bowie resident Amarii Fontanelle, 20, is facing multiple counts of murder and other offenses after being indicted for the October 2022 killings of Reginald Cooper, Jr., and Davonte Berkley.
Fontanelle was indicted this week by a grand jury in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia after he led his victims to their deaths, US Attorney Matthew Graves announced on Friday.
