Two Jersey City men have been charged with distributing cocaine and heroin as part of a street gang, authorities said.
Anthony Phillips, 31, a.k.a. "Ant" and Shannon Tisdale a.k.a. "Doonk" were arrested after law enforcement began investigating drug distribution in the area of Lexington and Bergen Avenues in Jersey City by Lex Mob, a neighborhood gang, US Attorney Philip Sellinger said.
On Wednesday, April 24, law enforcement saw Tisdale and Phillips distributing drugs in Lexington and then both fled when confronted by police, Sellinger said.

A 39-year-old Jersey City man was sentenced to 28 years in prison on Friday, May, 10, for robbing a Best Buy at knifepoint in Morris County in 2022.
On May 28, 2022, Michael Guirguis entered a Best Buy in East Hanover and removed iPads and iPods from a display table worth $4,500.
As he tried to flee Best Guy, Guirguis brandished a knife at two employees, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and East Hanover Township Police Chief Christopher Cannizzo said.

Parental Abduction: Woman Caught In Stolen Car In Lodi With Child Taken From Bogota: Prosecutor
A Jersey City woman was nabbed in a stolen car in Lodi after abducting her child a day earlier from a home in nearby Bogota, authorities said.
Jahlea Jones, 28, was charged with child endangerment, interfering with custody, contempt of court and receiving stolen property, among other offenses, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Jones had taken the child on Wednesday, April 24, knowing that she was not privileged to do so," the prosecutor said.
