Despite burning both his finger and mouth, Dave Portnoy gave this local pizzeria his stamp of approval.
The self-proclaimed pizza expert and Barstool Sports owner was in Schenectady on Monday, April 8, and decided to stop by Prima Pizzeria on State Street for his popular “One Bite Pizza Reviews” series on YouTube.
He seemed pleased right out of the gate, describing his pie as appearing “good” and “wintery.”

Blazin Bagel and Deli – located in Manorville at 287 Wading River Road – was voted best bagels for the 2024 Bethpage Best of Long Island survey.

A brand-new restaurant in the region is preparing to celebrate its grand opening.
Sullivan County eatery Logan's Bar & Grille, located at 64 North Main Street in Liberty, is set to hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting event at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, the Greater Liberty Chamber of Commerce announced.
The restaurant had its soft opening on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

New Bakery/Café To Open At Long Island Shopping Center
A new bakery and café is set to open at a Long Island shopping center this year.
The French Workshop Artisan Bakery will open a new location in Wantagh at the Willow Wood Shoppes, located at 1187 Wantagh Avenue, Breslin Realty announced on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
The bakery is scheduled to open sometime this year, and the space is still being built, the company said.
The French Workshop also has locations in Plainview, Bayside, and Garden City.

A new restaurant is set to throw open its doors in the Hudson Valley.
The International Buffet & Grill, in Dutchess County, opens on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 2355 South Road in the town of Poughkeepsie, taking the place of a Golden Corral that shuttered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not a lot is known about the new restaurant except it serves a variety of international food including American, Mexican, Italian, and Dominican, the restaurant said on Facebook.

Popular Burger Joint Expanding To Bergen County
A burger restaurant with several New Jersey locations is planning a Bergen County debut.
30 Burgers will be opening at 30 Park Avenue, according to a post on its Instagram page. The storefront was formerly home to The Empanada Shop.
"Fresh never frozen" is 30 Burgers' motto.
Launched in January 2014, 30 Burgers focuses on certified Angus beef burgers, each one cooked to order with a 7- to 10-minute wait time.
Other 30 Burgers locations are in Lawrence Township, Branchburg, Hillsborough, Bound Brook, Dunellen, East Brunswick, Linden, Somerville and Hackettstown.
