Jermaine “Jay” Robinson, a professional wrestler from Alexandria, died on June 2, 2024. He was 50 years old.
Robinson, who went by "Dirty Money" in the ring, had been recovering from a double quadricep tear he suffered in the spring, according to DMVprowrestling.
A GoFundMe for Robinson's loved ones says his death came suddenly.
"Jay was a force of nature—a larger-than-life presence within the community at large," the campaign says. "He was known for his enigmatic nature, kind and generous heart, and relentless passion for fitness and people."

Now, those who knew and loved him are organizing two special rides just for him.
Binde, 63, of Alexandria, VA, was struck by a Toyota 4Runner while trying to cross US Route 15 and Catoctin Furnace Road in Frederick, MD on Saturday, June 1, officials said. He was pronounced dead by first responders.

Drunken Driver Kills Sidewalk Pedestrian In Fairfax County, Police Say
A 38-year-old man has been arrested in a deadly crash in which he struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk of a Fairfax County street, police said.
Michael Rambudhan, 38, of Woodbridge, was heading north on North Kings Highway in Huntington, in a 2023 Acura MDX when he left the roadway, struck a median, and continued onto the sidewalk around 12:35 a.m. on Friday, May 24, county police said.
Rambudhan's vehicle struck Lucius Gaskins, 54, of Alexandria, before hitting a tree. Gaskins was declared dead at the scene while Rambudhan suffered minor injuries, and remained at the scene. …

A 70-year-old Alexandria man who was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle died days after his release, authorities said.
James Thomson, of Alexandria, was found lying at the intersection of North Jordan Street and Taney Avenue with an injury to the back of his head on Thursday, May 9, police said.
Thomson told responders he'd been struck by a car and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Prior to his release, Thomson's condition rapidly deteriorated, and he died on Saturday, May 18, authorities announced Wednesday, May 22.
