Accidental Shooting Wounds Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputy At Training Center
A Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputy was rushed into emergency surgery in an accidental shooting Thursday morning, June 13, officials tell Daily Voice. The incident happened at the sheriff's firing rang on Leesburg Road around 8:20 a.m., a spokesperson for the county sheriff's office said. "While we cannot provide more specific details at this time, we can confirm that the incident involved another deputy and occurred during a routine training exercise," the spokesman said. One deputy was taken to a local hospital and is stable and out of surgery, the spokesman said.

Two Hudson Valley men are behind bars after being charged with gun and narcotics possession following a traffic stop. The incident occurred in Orange County on Monday, June 10, in the city of Newburgh. A 21-year-old from Maryland is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, Pennsylvania State Police say. Troopers said Damien Thiel of Westminster fatally assaulted a family dog in West Nottingham Township on Saturday, June 8. It happened on the 100 block of Pleasant Drive, according to investigators. He posted 10 percent of his $15,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing set for June 18, court records show.

Two juveniles on bicycles were hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday, June 12 in Linden, authorities said. The two boys were pedaling toward Wheeler Park, eastbound across S.
