Truck Hauling Deli Meat Catches Fire On Schuylkill Expressway

A truck carrying deli meat caught fire and crashed on the Schuylkill Expressway early Monday morning in Montgomery County, authorities said.

Fire crews arrived on the eastbound side of I-76 between Conshohocken and Hollow Road around 3:45 a.m. and stayed on the scene for nearly 90 minutes extinguishing the fire, according to Gladwyne Fire Company.

The driver was able to detach the cab portion as the trailer burned, 6abc reports.

The driver remained unharmed.
