SUV Crashes Into Long Island Home

An SUV lost control and slammed into a Long Island home, injuring the driver and a resident inside.

The crash took place around 9:15 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, in Hicksville, said the Nassau County Police.

According to police, a 25-year-old man was driving a 2008 Lincoln southbound on Bethpage Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck the home on Woodbury Road.

A 54-year-old man inside the home received a leg injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver was also hospitalized for evaluation.

Fire crew, along with the Town of Oyster Bay building officials checked to make sure the home was safe before removing the vehicle.

An investigation is underway. No charges have been filed.
