A 64-year-old man faces criminal charges after allegedly abandoning two dogs on the side of a Hudson Valley road, authorities announced. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Thursday, June 6, when the Putnam County SPCA learned that two dachshund mix dogs had been found the day before by a good samaritan on Longfellow Drive in the Lake Carmel area of the town of Kent. A 19-year-old has been nabbed after police said he supplied other minors with a beer keg, leading one girl to be hospitalized. The Fairfield County incident occurred on Thursday, June 6 in Darien. At about 2:20 a.m., police arrived at a Long Neck Point Road home on reports of an intoxicated 18-year-old girl.
