Natalie Kim, a University of Pennsylvania student who dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, died after a period of illness on Tuesday, Oct. 24, loved ones said in her obituary. She was 23.
Born in Wynnewood to David and Jane Kim, Natalie began displaying a lifelong passion for animals early on, family members wrote in her obit.
She interned at Radnor Veterinary Hospital before graduating from Delaware County Christian School as salutatorian, loved ones said.

The widow of a North Jersey veterinarian who’d been known as the “animal whisperer” was arrested for continuing to operate his clinic without a license, authorities announced Monday.

The deaths of Peeko and Ozzie, a pair of beloved snow monkeys at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead, are being mourned throughout the area.
Peeko, described by the aquarium as its "alpha male," died of congestive heart failure just a few weeks before his 24th birthday.
