A man is at large after he broke into a sports bar in Newark in the middle of the night, Wednesday, March 20, taking hundreds of dollars, authorities said.
At 3:55 a.m., a man pried open the cellar door at El Pool Sports Bar at 116 Elm St with his hands and entered the basement, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. He then went to a back room, opened a lock box and removed $300 to $400 before fleeing the scene and heading westbound on Elm Street, Fragé said.

Newark Shooting Suspect Busted In Las Vegas
Deidre Moses, a 28-year-old woman who previously lived in Bloomfield, was arrested last month in Las Vegas for shooting a man in Newark in August, authorities said.
At 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, police responded to North 4th Street and found a man who had been shot while inside his residence, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
