Prostitution Sting: Undercover Officers Bust Masseuses In New Windsor, Police Say
Three women were arrested on Thursday, June 8, following an undercover prostitution sting in New Windsor, and authorities say residents should expect more busts like this in the future.
Officials said the sting began after several residents and nearby businesses complained to police about suspicious activity. Officers said the women did not have their massage licenses, and each solicited sex from them.

A Connecticut woman was charged with allegedly carrying out an elaborate harassment hoax, convincing police and even getting a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend.
Hartford County resident Amy E. Hull, age 35, of South Windsor, was charged on Monday, April 17 following an extensive investigation by police.
According to Sgt. Mark Cleverdon, of the New Windsor Police, Hull’s charges stem from an early 2022 ongoing harassment case in which she claimed she was being harassed by the victim, an ex-boyfriend.

2 Sentenced For Murder Of New Windsor College Student
Two men have been sentenced to prison for the brutal murder of a college student in Hudson Valley.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler announced that on Tuesday, Sept. 20, Cornelius Stubbs, age 51, and Carlos Rivera, age 49, both of Newburgh, for the murder of a 21-year-old college student.
At the time of sentencing, more than 40 friends and family members of the victim, Chelsea Debidin of Walden, were present, as well as numerous members of law enforcement representing the town of New Windsor Police and the New York State Police.

Windsor Man Who Threatened To Kill Hospital Staff Prevented From Owning Gun, Police Say
A Connecticut man who told his therapist he intended on killing staff members at an area hospital was prevented from purchasing guns.
Hartford County resident Connor Zawasky, age 24, of Windsor, was charged on Tuesday, July 12, and charged with threatening.
The incident began on Wednesday, June 8, when Zawasky told his counselor that he intended on obtaining a pistol permit and buying a gun to kill staff members at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, said Sgt. Mark Cleverdon, of the New Windsor Police.

Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Woman At Area Apartment Complex
A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman at an area apartment complex.
Carlos A. Rivera, of the City of Newburgh, was arrested Friday, Nov. 8, for the Sept. 21, the murder of Chelsea Debidin, 21, at the Knox Village Apartments, in New Windsor, said the New Windsor Police.
Debidin was pronounced dead at the scene and her 20-year-old boyfriend, who survived, was taken to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, police said.
Rivera was charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder, the department said.
