Two Connecticut Towns Among 50 Best Places To Live In America
Two Connecticut communities have made it onto Money magazine’s list of the best 50 places in the US to live in 2020.
Monye’s ranking seemed to favor small cities and medium- to large-sized towns. In Connecticut, South Windsor and Cheshire made the top 50.
The magazine’s ranking took into account crime rates, median household income, diversity, local economy, cost of living, health and safety, weather, lifestyle, and entertainment.

The typical American household earned $55,322 in 2016, roughly $4,000 higher than 2009’s median income of $51,425, according to 24/7 Wall St.
In a number of small towns throughout the nation, more than half of households earn more than three times the national median. This is true in one Fairfield County community, according to a recent 24/7 Wall St. report.

Report: Seven Bergen Towns Rank Among 19 Wealthiest In NJ
UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. – Seven of the 19 wealthiest municipalities in New Jersey are in Bergen County, including Upper Saddle River which ranks sixth, according to a report on NJ.com.
The rankings are based on data on median household income from the 2012-2016 American Community Survey snapshot, the article says.
