Born in 1931 in Tulsa, OK to Maxine Elizabeth Boesche and John Morris McCorkle, Karen grew up in Pasadena, CA, graduating from South Pasadena High—where she also served as Senior Class President—in 1950. After more than four decades in business, the 92-year-old owner of a popular bike store in Ramsey is closing up shop, reports say. A Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer was killed in the Bronx over the weekend when his girlfriend and another man assaulted him, the NYPD said. Lawrence "Lo" Leathers, 37, was found dead in a stairwell Sunday outside the East 141 Street apartment he shared with Lisa Harris, police said.
