Two Motorcyclists Killed In Four-Vehicle Crash On Route 78
Two motorcyclists were killed in a four-vehicle crash on Route 78 in Union County on Sunday, June 2, authorities said.
At 6:06 p.m., a Lexus SUV, Honda passenger vehicle, BMW motorcycle and Suzuki motorcycle were traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Berkeley Heights when the BMW struck the back of the Honda, causing the Suzuki to strike the back of the BMW, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.

Duo Stole Over 100 Tires, Rims From Vehicles Across Suffolk County, DA Says
Two Long Island men are facing dozens of charges after allegedly stealing tires and rims from over 100 vehicles.
Randy Woods, age 37, of Wyandanch and Dwayne Jones, age 45 of Central Islip are named in a 190-count indictment announced by the Suffolk County DA’s office on Wednesday, May 8.
According to investigators, the pair targeted residents, car dealerships, and rental car companies across Suffolk County between July 2022 and October 2023.
In all, they stole tires and rims from 114 vehicles, leaving nearly $500,000 in property damage in their wake, prosecutors allege.

Stolen Car Found Crashed In Schuylkill County: State Police
Troopers are investigating after the occupants of a stolen BMW fled the scene of a crash on Monday, May 6, state police say.
The car, an 850i, crashed near Blue Mountain Drive in West Penn Township sometime on Monday, authorities said.
The occupants ran from the crash and police searched a "large perimeter" near Blue Mountain Drive, Route 309, and Fort Franklin Road using drones and canine units, according to troopers.
Around 2 p.m., "an occupant of the vehicle was located and identified by law enforcement," authorities said.

Alton Smith, of Levittown, PA, had bee driving a BMW 328i when he got into a crash with another BMW around 2:20 a.m. in Robbinsville, New Jersey State Police said.

A 20-year-old man was charged with manslaughter for allegedly causing a crash that killed another man during a race on a Hudson Valley highway.
