Authorities are responding to a crash in the southbound lanes of the Route 611 bypass on Monday evening, May 20. It happened near Route 202, Doylestown police said around 5:30 p.m. The southbound lanes of the bypass are closed as officials investigate and drivers should seek an alternate route, they added.

Bicyclist Hurt In Lancaster County Hit-Run: Officials
East Lampeter police are searching for the driver who hit a bicyclist and fled the scene on May 8. Authorities said an early 2000s model Dodge pickup truck or SUV hit the victim on the 100 block of East Main Street around 6 p.m. The crash knocked off the Dodge's passenger side mirror which was recovered from the scene, according to police. The bicyclist was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Anyone with information is asked to contact the East Lampeter Police Department on Crimewatch.

A school bus crashed through a fence and into a community garden in Montgomery County, officials say. Five people were injured in a collision involving an SUV and school bus before 8 a.m. on Monday, May 20, a Montgomery County Fire and EMS spokesperson said. Route 61 between Frackville and St. Clair has reopened, PennDOT told Daily Voice Wednesday evening. The highway was shut down on Tuesday morning, May 14 after a contractor accidentally struck a gas main during a reconstruction project, officials said.
